Mattress Sizes

Twin39” x 74”

Twin size beds are most commonly used for children, daybeds, bunkbeds, and trundles.  Only one person can sleep on a twin size mattress.

 

Twin XL39” x 80”

Twin XL mattresses are used for adjustable beds, dorm mattresses, or for any person who needs a longer mattress, but doesn’t have the space for a queen or king. 

 

Full54” x 74”

Full size beds are common guest beds, where size is at a premium.  Ideally, full size beds can sleep only one person comfortably, they do not offer enough width to accommodate two.

 

Full XL54” x 80”

Full XL mattresses are used for adjustable beds, or for sleepers who need a bit more length.

 

Queen60” x 80”

Queen size beds are five inches longer than twins and fulls, accommodating taller sleepers.  Two adults can sleep comfortably on a queen size bed.

 

King76” x 80”

King size beds are the ideal sleeping arrangement for two people.  At almost square, they offer plenty of space for each sleeper to spread out without disturbing their partner.

 

Cal King72” x 84”

California King size mattresses are made for extremely tall sleepers, and offer seven feet of length to accommodate.  Keep in mind, however, that a California King mattress is also 4” narrower than a traditional King size.
